Herb Hebein is a retired police officer with 29 years of service as a police officer with the Chicago Police Department. Over the course of his career, he developed a strong understanding of responsibility, integrity, and what it takes to keep families safe. He spent his professional life protecting others and serving with a commitment that extended beyond politics.

 

Herb and his wife have been married for 39 years and have two sons and four grandchildren. Herb’s experience in law enforcement gave him firsthand exposure to how public institutions operate and how decisions made by government affect everyday people. 

 

Herb believes government should put people first and return to common-sense leadership. He supports law enforcement and the military and believes communities function best when public safety, constitutional freedoms, and personal responsibility are protected.

 

Herb decided to run for the United States Congress to bring real-world experience to Washington. Washington needs fewer career politicians and more leaders who have spent their lives serving others. That’s why it’s time to send a cop to Congress.
